An international parliamentary conference on "Parliamentarism: traditions and perspectives" will be held in Milli Majlis from December 6 to 8.
Axar.az reports that the event will be attended by about 100 representatives from the parliaments of 13 countries and international organizations, and the role of parliaments in the processes going on in the world, the development of the traditions of parliamentarism, the possibilities of parliamentary diplomacy, and the contributions that discussions at the parliamentary level can make to modern challenges in the world will be exchanged.
Within the framework of the conference, a round table on "The example of parliaments of Azerbaijan and Turkiye in public diplomacy" will be held at ADA University.
The participants of the event will visit the liberated territories of Azerbaijan and familiarize themselves with the construction works carried out there.
It is reported that more than 60 deputies from Turkiye will come to Azerbaijan. Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye, Fuat Ogtay, is already in Baku.
Allegations that Ozgur Ozel, the chairman of the Republican People's Party (RPP), will also attend the event have been spread on social networks and in a number of Turkish media outlets.
RPP deputy chairman Ilhan Uzgel to find out about this. He said that Ozgur Ozel will not participate in the event.
"A group of RPP MPs will attend the conference. Mr. Ozgur Ozel will not participate in the event. Murad Amir, the deputy chairman of the RPP faction in the Grand National Assembly of Turkiye, will attend the event instead."
