The “Azerbaijan” neighborhood in Kahramanmarash is another example of the implementation of the phrase “One nation, two states”, which is an indicator of the inseparability of the destinies of our peoples. Today, we once again demonstrate to the world the unshakable solidarity and unity of Turkiye and Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that these words were said by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, speaking at the opening ceremony of the “Azerbaijan” neighborhood in the city of Kahramanmarash on June 19.

The Turkish head of state, represented by President Ilham Aliyev, sincerely greeted the ten million residents of Azerbaijan.

The President recalled that Azerbaijan was one of the first to come to the aid of Turkiye, which was facing the consequences of the devastating earthquakes that occurred in February 2023.

“We will never forget the solidarity and support of the Azerbaijani people. I would like to express my special gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and his wife Mehriban Aliyeva for extending a helping hand to the Turkish people,” said President Erdogan, calling the “Azerbaijan” neighborhood of Qahranmarash a source of pride for the restoration of the natural disaster area.

The Turkish leader also thanked the State Housing Construction Agency of Azerbaijan (MIDA) and the State Housing Construction Administration of Turkiye (TOKİ) for the implementation of the new residential complex project in Kahramanmarash.
