The captain of an American Airlines flight on the New Delhi–New York route requested an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport due to a passenger experiencing a sudden health issue on board.

Axar.az informs the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner safely landed in Baku at 2:30 a.m. local time.

Immediate medical assistance was given to the passenger on site. The passenger is currently undergoing necessary medical evaluations, and their condition is being closely monitored.

Once the required procedures were completed, the aircraft resumed its journey, taking off from Baku at 10:31 a.m. en route to its destination, London.
