Due to the death of two Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg and the lack of a prompt response from the Russian authorities, Azerbaijan has canceled the visit of Russian Deputy Prime Minister Overchuk.

Axar.az reports that this was written by Russian political scientist Sergei Markov on his Telegram channel.

“There is great dissatisfaction in Azerbaijan regarding these events. Although the main one is probably the events on the plane (this refers to the AZAL passenger plane flying on the Baku-Grozny route, which was shot down by Russia on December 25 last year - ed.). Moreover, these events are perceived in the same vein,” Markov said.

It should be noted that on the morning of June 27, officers of the Russian Federal Security Service raided the homes of Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg. Two Azerbaijanis were killed as a result of the operation. Several more people were detained.
