The ban on holding Russian cultural events in Azerbaijan will remain in effect until the end of the year.

Axar.az informs this was reported by the "Mash" Telegram channel.

The list of canceled events includes concerts by singers Basta (August 30, Sea Breeze Resort), Leonid Agutin and Anzhelika Varum (October 29, Heydar Aliyev Palace), the ballet "The Nutcracker" (June 13, Heydar Aliyev Palace), "Romeo and Juliet" (October 12, Heydar Aliyev Palace), the play "Confession of a Hooligan" featuring Sergey Bezrukov (October 17, Heydar Aliyev Palace), as well as Yevgeny Sinyakov’s stand-up show (November 1, Opera Studio) and the Humor Festival (July 18, Sea Breeze Resort).

All ticket announcements for these events have been removed from websites.

In response to the targeted and extrajudicial killings and acts of violence against Azerbaijanis based on their ethnicity, demonstratively perpetrated by Russian law enforcement agencies in the Yekaterinburg region of the Russian Federation - and considering the systematic nature of such incidents in recent times - all cultural events planned in Azerbaijan involving Russian state and private entities have been cancelled.

The cancelled events include concerts, festivals, performances, exhibitions, and similar activities.

It was also noted that citizens who purchased tickets may return them through the relevant ticket sales points or online platforms.
