President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid the foundation stone of the “Uzbekistan” park in Baku on July 2.
Axar.az reports that the “Uzbekistan” park is a large-scale cultural and recreational project. A unique environment will be created here that will reflect the rich history, architecture, and culture of Uzbekistan, including the regions of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Kokand. The park, which will have an area of 5 hectares, will be built in the form of a map of Uzbekistan. It will also house a museum, cinema, amphitheater, tower, restaurants and cafes serving Uzbek national cuisine, a shopping area, souvenir and gift shops, a zoo, and a hotel. The main objects of the park will be architectural examples from Bukhara, Samarkand, and Khiva.
It should be noted that this park, which will be built in the White City in the capital, is a symbol of the historically existing brotherhood and friendship between the states and peoples of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. The construction of this park will further strengthen the cultural ties between our peoples.
