Today is a significant day in the history of Uzbek-Azerbaijani relations. The state visit of the President of Uzbekistan is being held in an atmosphere of fraternity and mutual understanding.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in a press statement with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
“Today, both within the framework of the bilateral meeting and the meeting of the Interstate Council, we discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral interaction, once again confirming the strategic, allied nature of our relations. Last year, we signed an Agreement on Mutual Allied Activity in Tashkent. This is the highest and most important document in the relations of any country. We have been official allies for a year now, and we demonstrate this with active interaction in the international arena, mutual support, as well as plans and projects implemented in many areas,” I. Aliyev noted.
