Ukraine destroyed the Russian Tu-22M3 bomber for the first time.

Axar.az reports that the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk informed about this.

"For the first time, the anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, in cooperation with the General Intelligence Service of Ukraine, destroyed the Tu-22M3 long-range strategic bomber," Oleshchuk said.

According to him, Ukraine shot down X-22 missiles for the first time today.

The General Intelligence Service of Ukraine noted in its release that the Tu-22M3 aircraft was shot down by an S-200 anti-aircraft missile system.

It should be noted that the Russian Ministry of Defense released information about the crash of a Tu-22M3 bomber in the Stavropol region today. One of the 4 pilots on the plane died during the accident.
