5.6-magnitude earthquake struck the Pacific Ocean near Alaska’s Aleutian Islands.
Axar.az informs, citing local media and data from the Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the quake occurred in the region.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) estimated the magnitude slightly lower, at 5.4.
The tremors at the epicenter were described as very strong. There are no reports of casualties or damage.
