The national flag of Syria was lowered from the building of the Syrian consulate in Istanbul.

Axar.az reports that the flag of the rebels was raised instead of the lowered flag.

It should be noted that the state flag of Syria has been changed today. The flag used by the 61-year-old Baath regime was lowered and replaced by the 3-star flag of the opposition.
