A peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia will be signed soon.
Axar.az reports that this was stated by former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
“On August 8, a very important historic event will take place in Washington: Azerbaijan and Armenia will sign a peace agreement through Donald Trump’s mediation.
President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan have been negotiating for a while, but the process has accelerated with the U.S. president’s involvement. That day will go down in world history as the moment the Caucasus was freed from Russia’s grip.
Russia is now officially losing its hegemony in two of the three South Caucasus countries,” the former president said.
Saakashvili added that while Russia still maintains control over Georgia through internal networks, this situation is also on the verge of change.
