Within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, a meeting was held in the city of Avaza, Turkmenistan, between Azerbaijan’s Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev and Iran’s Minister of Roads and Urban Development Farzaneh Sadegh. During the meeting, the two countries discussed cooperation in various economic sectors, especially the implementation of joint border projects.
Axar.az informs that the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported this.
It was noted that during the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of accelerating the implementation of existing projects, including the Astara railway freight terminal and ongoing border bridge constructions.
It was also stated that the close contact between Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Masoud Pezeshkian plays a special role in deepening relations between the two countries.
The parties also reached an agreement on mutual visits in the near future.
The meeting included a broad exchange of views on project progress, solving existing problems, and deepening cooperation.
