Iran has proposed ending the war within 30 days as part of its latest proposal to the United States, aiming to resolve all outstanding issues in that timeframe rather than extending a ceasefire.
Axar.az reports, citing CBS News, that the Iranian plan seeks to end the war and includes a broad framework for regional de-escalation.
The proposal responds to a U.S. nine-point plan and calls for the lifting of sanctions on Iran, an end to the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports, withdrawal of American forces from the region, and a cessation of hostilities, including Israel’s operations in Lebanon.
However, the proposal does not address Iran’s nuclear program or enriched uranium, which have long been central issues in negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
The Iranian response was delivered via Pakistan, which previously hosted face-to-face talks between the two sides.
U.S. President Donald Trump said he is reviewing the proposal but expressed skepticism about its prospects.
“I will soon be reviewing the plan that Iran has just sent to us, but I can’t imagine that it would be acceptable in that they have not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to Humanity, and the World, over the last 47 years,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social account.
