Kapaz-Gabala match to begin with minute of silence

The Misli Premier League’s fifth-round match between Kapaz and Gabala will begin with a one-minute silence.

Axar.az reports that the Ganja-based club made the announcement.

A one-minute silence will be observed at the Ganja stadium before kickoff in memory of former Azerbaijani football player Mehman Hajiyev, who has passed away yesterday.

The Professional Football League approved Kapaz’s request regarding the tribute. During the minute of silence, the stadium screens will also display a photo of the deceased.

It should be noted that the match is scheduled to take place on September 12.
