Nikzad urges US to leave Middle East

Ali Nikzad, First Deputy Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, said that Iran’s targeting of US warships and military command centers represented only part of the Islamic Republic’s capabilities, urging Washington to leave the region as soon as possible.

Axar.az reports, citing West Asia News Agency, that speaking during a parliamentary session, Nikzad said Iran was conducting the war based on precise strategic planning and had not yet deployed all of its military capabilities and tactics. He added that Iran’s armed forces were simultaneously developing new weapons and tactics.

“What happened in the targeting of US warships and the destruction of facilities where American military commanders were stationed was only a small part of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s capabilities,” Nikzad said.

Nikzad also criticized the US military presence in the region, saying Washington should withdraw from West Asia and the Persian Gulf before suffering further losses and costs.

“The sooner you leave this war, the better,” he said, adding that “this war is no place for flies.”
