Iraqi oil tankers reach Rabia crossing en route to Syria

Iraq has begun transporting crude oil via Syria as part of a new transit route toward international markets.

Axar.az reports, citing SANA, that Iraqi oil shipments have reached Syrian territory as part of the newly activated corridor.

According to the report, the first convoy consists of 70 tankers carrying Iraqi crude oil, which reached the Rabia border crossing on the Iraqi side and are set to enter Syria through the Al-Yarubiyah crossing before continuing toward Mediterranean export routes.

The shipments are part of a broader effort to shorten transit times and facilitate faster delivery without affecting existing commercial contracts.
