A video showing a group of Azerbaijanis (Southern Azerbaijanis) singing the song “Qarabag” in Azerbaijani at Republic Square in Yerevan has reportedly shocked Armenians.

Axar.az reports that the Armenian authorities claimed that the video is old. However, political analyst Gagik Hambaryan stated on his Facebook page that the footage is recent.

"First of all, whether the material is old or new is not the main issue. The fact is that the video is new, and the proof lies in the decorations of Republic Square… Specifically, the stars placed in the square. The government building’s clock tower, which was demolished last year, was not among the decorations before but has been installed this year… So, the video is new," Hambaryan explained.

He also expressed certainty that Azerbaijani intelligence is active in Yerevan:

"I believe that the organizers of this event are Azerbaijani special services, who showed Armenians that they can do whatever they want, wherever they want, whenever they want, proving that they are the real rulers of Armenia. They are able to sing the song ‘Qarabag’ in Azerbaijani right in Republic Square… Secondly, the organizers confirmed another fact—that some Azerbaijanis from Iran have traveled to Armenia. There are Azerbaijani intelligence network representatives in Armenia, and they are ready for anything under Baku’s orders."
