In connection with the current conflict between Israel and Iran, appeals received through hotlines established at our Embassy in the State of Israel, our Embassy in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as our Consulate General in Tabriz, are being reviewed daily.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by Aykhan Hajizada, the press secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

He said that measures are being taken to obtain appropriate permits for Azerbaijani citizens who wish to leave Iran, as well as citizens of other countries, to cross the land border. Our citizens in Israel are being directed to neighboring Egypt and Jordan, respectively.

"So far, our Embassy and Consulate General in Iran have received applications from about 500 Azerbaijani citizens, of which more than 60 have crossed the border. In addition, more than 1,200 applications from 51 countries are currently being considered, and appropriate permits are being provided for their border crossing.

Relevant measures have been taken for the crossing of 34 of our citizens from Israel to Jordan," A. Hajizada noted.
