Solovyov: Silence in Shusha borders on treason - Video

Being in Shusha and not asking about the fate of Russian journalists is not just disgraceful — it’s on the brink of treason.

Axar.az reports that Kremlin propagandist Vladimir Solovyov said this during the live broadcast of his program "Evening with Vladimir Solovyov" on Rossiya 1, commenting on the visit of former TASS Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman and political analyst Sergey Markov to Shusha.

"Two individuals acted disgracefully. While our journalist compatriots are imprisoned in Azerbaijan, two Russian citizens — one of whom held a high-ranking position until recently — went to Shusha upon personal invitation from the Azerbaijani side. They didn’t even bother to ask about the fate of our colleagues. Yet they found it acceptable to shower praise. This is not only a failure of professionalism but a sign of deep personal disgrace. One of them, thankfully, is now retired. As for the second, I hope Markov is never again invited to any Russian media outlet. To be in Shusha and not ask about the fate of our colleagues and compatriots is not just disgraceful — it borders on treason," he said.

It is worth noting that Solovyov’s participation in this campaign further confirms that Mikhail Gusman’s dismissal is directly linked to his participation in the Shusha International Media Forum.
