Members of Iran's Parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy held a meeting with President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss Iran's foreign policy priorities, including the current state of relations with Azerbaijan.

Axar.az informs that this was reported by the commission’s spokesperson, Ebrahim Rezayi.

Rezayi stated that during the meeting, the necessity of reassessing relations with certain neighboring countries—especially Azerbaijan—was emphasized. It was noted that Iran’s "red lines" in foreign policy must be respected, and within that framework, relations with Azerbaijan should be properly managed:

"The meeting also addressed the importance of building relations with neighboring countries based on security and national interests. Commission members stressed the need for a strong stance and diplomatic response to Israel’s actions in the region, adding that relations with Azerbaijan should be conducted with greater caution and awareness."
