If Israel continues to obstruct the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and carries out military operations in the enclave, the United Kingdom will recognize the State of Palestine by the time of the UN General Assembly session in September.

Axar.az reports that this statement was made by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

“We are committed to supporting a two-state solution. Therefore, if the Israeli government does not take significant steps to end the dire situation in Gaza and fails to ensure long-term and sustainable peace — including urgent UN humanitarian aid — we will recognize the State of Palestine at the UN General Assembly in September,” Starmer said.
