Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth is considering running for governor of Tennessee next year.

Axar.az reports citing NBC News.

“Hegseth will not be able to simultaneously hold the positions of head of the US Department of Defense and governor of the state, so he will have to resign. He is seriously considering running for governor. Hegseth is specifically considering running for governor in Tennessee, where he lives. However, it is not clear whether Hegseth will decide to take such a step after the discussions,” the source said.
