China and Azerbaijan are good friends and reliable partners. Over the 33 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, our ties have developed in a healthy and stable manner. Axar.az reports that these remarks were made by China’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Lu Mei, during an official reception in Baku marking the 98th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.

“In April this year, during President Ilham Aliyev’s third state visit to China, President Xi Jinping and the Azerbaijani leader signed a Joint Statement on establishing a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. This has opened a new historic stage in China-Azerbaijan relations. China is ready to work together with Azerbaijan to implement the important agreements reached by our heads of state and to promote mutually beneficial cooperation for the well-being of our peoples,” Lu Mei emphasized.
