The Sverdlovsk Regional Court has upheld the two-month pre-trial detention order for Mutvali Shikhlinski, the son of Shahin Shikhlinski, the head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in Yekaterinburg, in connection with the fact of violence against a civil servant.

Axar.az informs that the Russian press reported on this.

“Shikhlinski and his lawyer filed an appeal against the decision of the first instance court. The Sverdlovsk Regional Court, having reviewed the case materials and heard the opinions of the parties, upheld the decision of the Leninsky District Court of Yekaterinburg. M. Shikhlinski will remain in custody until September 14, 2025,” the statement said.
