China has begun evacuating its citizens from Iran and Israel as the conflict between the two countries enters its fifth day, with casualties rising and civilian infrastructure increasingly under threat.
Axar.az, citing Reuters, reports that Chinese embassies in both countries have issued urgent advisories urging nationals to leave via land borders, as airspace remains closed and security conditions deteriorate.
Beijing has called for an immediate ceasefire and is in active communication with Iran, Israel, and regional powers to de-escalate tensions. The Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed that nations with influence over Israel must take responsibility to prevent further escalation. The Chinese embassy in Israel specifically recommended Jordan as the preferred land exit, while the embassy in Iran listed Turkey, Armenia, and Turkmenistan as alternatives.
Meanwhile, Tehran has reportedly asked Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman to urge U.S. President Trump to pressure Israel for a ceasefire in exchange for Iranian flexibility in nuclear talks.
