One EU diplomat told the publication that they had hoped for tough sanctions against Putin, but now the opposite is happening.

“Based on this, there are rumors that Trump could make impossible demands on Ukraine. But it is also clear that the U.S. cannot simply agree to the seizure of territories against the will of Ukrainians,” the report said.

Bild wrote that this week could be decisive for Ukraine.
