The issue of establishing a demilitarized zone south of Damascus is currently being discussed.

Axar.az reports that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this during a meeting with the spiritual leader of the Israeli Druze community, Sheikh Muafak Tarif.

"We are currently focusing on three things: protecting the Druze community in the province of As-Suwayda, creating a demilitarized zone from south of Damascus to the Golan Heights, including As-Suwayda, and a humanitarian corridor that will allow the delivery of food, construction materials, as well as large-scale medical assistance...", he said.
