Erdogan holds phone call with Zelensky

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan spoke on the phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Axar.az reports that during the phone call, bilateral relations between Turkiye and Ukraine, the peace process between Ukraine and Russia, and regional and global issues were discussed.

President Erdogan stated that they are closely following the contacts in Alaska and Washington, that Turkiye continues its efforts to ensure the war ends with a lasting peace, and that once peace is established, Turkiye will continue contributing to Ukraine’s security.

During the phone call between the leaders, the shooting down of the building housing the Azerbaijani embassy in Kyiv was also discussed.

V. Zelensky wrote about this on his Telegram channel.

He also recalled that Russian drones targeted a Turkish enterprise (Bayragdar plant), the EU representation, the British Council, and residential areas.
