Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouly has called on Israel to accept the current ceasefire proposal on the Gaza issue and begin negotiations on a complete cessation of the war.

Axar.az reports that the minister made this statement during his speech at the SCO+ meeting in Tianjin.

Madbouly noted that, according to Cairo's position, a just solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is possible only with the creation of a unified Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.

It should be noted that although Hamas accepted the mediators' ceasefire proposal on August 18, Israel approved a plan to take full control of Gaza City on August 21.
