Putin and al-Shara discuss Russian military bases in Syria

The agenda of the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa was Russia's military bases in Syria.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.

However, he did not disclose the details of the discussions on this issue.

Commenting on whether al-Sharaa demanded the extradition of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and what Putin's position was on this issue, Peskov replied:

"We have nothing to report in this context regarding Assad."

It should be noted that the Reuters agency had published information that Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa called on Russian President Vladimir Putin to return Russian troops to the south of the country.
