Syrian authorities seized 12 million Captagon pills in the Damascus countryside and arrested the alleged head of a smuggling network on Monday.
Axar.az informs citing, SANA, according to the Syrian interior ministry, the Anti-Narcotics Department, in coordination with internal security forces in the al-Dumayr area, conducted a “targeted operation” following intelligence reports about a planned smuggling attempt.
The suspect is in custody pending investigation, while authorities continue to pursue other individuals involved. The ministry said the seizure is part of its ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and dismantle smuggling networks.
