Turkiye’s relations with Northern Cyprus remain unchanged

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan commented on the future of Turkish-Northern Cyprus relations.

Axar.az informs, citing APА, Erdogan told journalists in an interview on his return from the Gulf countries that relations with Northern Cyprus will remain the same as they were during the Justice and Development Party's rule.

He called the presidential elections in Northern Cyprus important and added that the will of the Turkish Cypriots is being respected: "We congratulated them on this occasion. We have not wasted our investments in Northern Cyprus. The elections took place and, as a leader who believes in democracy, we congratulated the winning candidate on the phone. Hopefully, we will discuss the relations between Turkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in detail by the end of the week."
