Erdogan: Turkiye ready to host Russia-US summit

We are ready to host a summit between Russia and the United States in Turkiye.

Axar.az informs this was stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Responding to a question about the postponed Trump-Putin meeting, Erdogan said:

"Once again, the importance of Turkiye— and Istanbul — in promoting a vision of peace has been demonstrated. We are always ready to host such an initiative. It would have been good if the meeting in Budapest had taken place. We believe that any dialogue aimed at ending this war would be beneficial. From the very beginning, we have supported this, worked for it, and emphasized that a fair peace is possible. We have good relations with both sides and have earned the trust of both. This gives us an advantage on the path to peace, and we are determined to use it for the benefit of humanity."
