Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced preparations for trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, expected to take place within a week.
Axar.az reports that Zelensky made the announcement on Facebook following a 90-minute conversation with US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
"The negotiations must move forward at full throttle to bring this war to an end as quickly as possible. Ukraine is ready to take the necessary steps. Our proposals are clear, and we have given them to the American side," he said.
Zelensky also noted that a substantive meeting involving representatives of Ukraine, the United States, the EU, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, NATO, the World Bank, and the global business community had taken place in Brussels to discuss Ukraine's postwar recovery.
According to the President, another meeting will be held in Brussels today, focusing on security guarantees for Ukraine.
Zelensky also stressed the need for Patriot interceptors to protect civilians from Russian attacks, adding that postwar security guarantees must be "truly cast-iron."
U.S. President's Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said that the United States would mediate the working-level talks between Ukraine and Russia, scheduled for November 10–11 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates.
