Sputnik Azerbaijan editor placed under house arrest

The editor-in-chief of “Sputnik Azerbaijan,” Yevgeni Belousov, has been placed under house arrest.

Axar.az informs, citing Minval, the Khatai District Court reviewed a motion regarding Belousov’s case and granted it:

“The court has approved the motion, and Belousov has been placed under house arrest.”

It should be noted that earlier, the agency’s executive director, Igor Kartavikh, was released from detention and subsequently left Azerbaijan for Russia.
