General Vahidi appointed deputy head of Iran’s Armed Force

Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has appointed Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi as deputy chief of the Armed Forces.

Axar.az reports, citing Mehr, General Vahidi, a veteran commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), has held key military and governmental positions over the past four decades.

He served as commander of the Quds Force from 1988 to 1997, deputy defense minister, and later as minister of defense and logistics.
