Civilians trapped, tortured amid El Fasher atrocities

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) has condemned mass killings and ethnic violence committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and its allies in and around El Fasher, Sudan.

Axar.az, citing MSF, reports that the organization fears that many civilians remain trapped and in grave danger after the city was seized by the RSF on October 26 following 17 months of siege.

According to MSF, thousands of displaced people have reached Tawila, but many others are still missing. Witnesses report massacres, torture, kidnappings, and sexual violence along escape routes. MSF urged the RSF to allow civilians safe passage and called on international powers, including the U.S., Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt, to act to stop the violence.

Hundreds of wounded people and severely malnourished children have arrived in Tawila, where MSF is providing emergency and surgical care. Many of its local staff have lost relatives in El Fasher. MSF warns that immediate humanitarian access is crucial to save those still trapped.
