Russia seeks peace, but EU and Kyiv reject talks

Russia is ready to resolve the situation around Ukraine peacefully, but does not see a similar commitment from the European Union and Kyiv.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"We want peace, and we want to achieve our goals peacefully. Unfortunately, these peaceful means and the path of political negotiations are rejected by Europeans and Ukrainians. That is why President Vladimir Putin has decided to launch a special military operation," he noted.
