EU to accelerate Central Corridor development

An agreement was reached to accelerate the development of the Central Corridor at the European Union-Central Asia summit held in April.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Antonio Costa, President of the Council of the European Union, in an interview with the Kazakh "Silk Way" TV channel.

According to him, the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia also opens up new opportunities:

"This creates broad prospects for the comprehensive development of the Trans-Caspian route, which connects Asia and Europe and leads to the Black Sea."

It should be noted that the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, known as the Central Corridor, connects China and European countries through the territory of Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkiye.
