Russian military transport plane crashes with seven on board

A Russian An-22 military transport aircraft has crashed in the Ivanovo region northeast of Moscow with seven crew members on board.

Axar.az reports, citing Russian media, no information is currently available about casualties or injuries.

All seven people on board — five crew members and two passengers — were killed in the crash.

A commission from the Russian Aerospace Forces has been dispatched to the scene.

The An-22 “Antei” was the last aircraft of its type still in service with the Russian Armed Forces. The model had been in operation since 1969.
