At least 19 killed in collapse of two buildings in Morocco

At least 19 people were killed and 16 injured by the collapse of two buildings in Morocco's Fes city early on Wednesday.

Axar.az informs, citing le360, the two adjacent four-story buildings, home to eight families, gave way during the night, causing panic in the Al-Moustakbal area of Al-Massira.

Local authorities reported that the injured have sustained varying degrees of severity.

A safety perimeter was set up around the collapsed buildings, and nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution.

Rescue teams continue to comb through the debris in an effort to locate anyone still trapped.
