Putin ratifies military cooperation agreement with India

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law on the ratification of an agreement between the governments of Russia and India on the procedure for the mutual sending of military personnel, as well as warships and aircraft to each other's territory.

Axar.az reports, citing TASS, that the agreement regulates not only the sending of military personnel and equipment, but also their logistical support.

The established procedure will be applied during joint exercises and training, the provision of humanitarian assistance, the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters and man-made accidents, as well as in other agreed cases.

The ratification of the document simplifies the mutual use of the airspace of the two countries, as well as the entry of Russian and Indian warships into each other's ports.

In addition, the agreement strengthens cooperation between the states in the military field.
