On December 19, the Russian army launched a ballistic missile strike on port infrastructure in the Odessa region.

Axar.az reports that this information was provided by Oleg Kiper, head of the Odessa Regional State Administration.

“As a result of the strike, trucks at the terminal caught fire. According to initial reports, unfortunately, 7 people were killed. Another 15 were injured and hospitalized. Doctors are providing all necessary assistance to the victims,” the official stated.

Later reports indicated that the death toll from the attack on Odessa’s port infrastructure has risen to 8, according to UNIAN, citing the State Emergency Service.

It was also reported that 27 people were injured in the attack.
