Israel says it killed Hamas financial officer in Gaza

Abdel Hay Zaqout, a member of the finance department of Hamas's military wing, the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades, was killed two weeks ago in the strike on the vehicle in which senior Hamas leader Ra'ad Sa'ad was killed.

Axar.az informs, citing Jerusalem Post, IDF Arabic spokesperson Avichay Adraee announced on X/Twitter on Wednesday morning.

Zaqout, who was killed as part of a joint IDF and Shin Bet operation, was a resident of Gaza City and was responsible for recruiting and transferring tens of millions of dollars to the Qassam Brigades to support its operations against Israel, Adraee noted.
