Rubio: The U.S. is fighting drug cartels, not Venezuela

The United States is waging a war against drug cartels, not against Venezuela. This was stated by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with NBC News.

Axar.az reports that according to Rubio, Washington is enforcing American laws related to oil sanctions by applying legal mechanisms, filing court cases, obtaining warrants, and seizing ships transporting oil.

He added that there are no U.S. troops in Venezuela and stressed that if the leaders who remain in the country make the right decisions, the United States is ready to work with them.
