Reza Pahlavi urges Iranians to seize city centers

Reza Pahlavi, the US-based son of Iran’s deposed shah, on Saturday called on Iranians to stage more targeted protests aimed at seizing and holding city centers.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, that he made the remarks in a video message.

“Our goal is no longer just to take to the streets. The goal is to prepare to seize and hold city centers,” he said.

He also called for more protest actions on Saturday and Sunday, adding that he is preparing to return to the country on a day he believes is very near.

It is noted that mass protests in Iran, triggered by the economic situation, have led to increased activity by Reza Pahlavi. He is trying to convince the West that the vast majority of Iranians support him.
