Australia orders non-essential officials to leave Lebanon

Australia has ordered all non-essential officials in Lebanon to leave the country.

Axar.az reports in a post on X, Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has directed the withdrawal of non-essential Australian personnel due to the deteriorating security situation in Lebanon.

“A small number of Australian officials will remain in the country to provide consular support to Australians,” she added.
