Modi holds phone call with Iran’s President Pezeshkian

India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, held a telephone conversation with Iran’s President, Masoud Pezeshkian.

Axar.az reports Modi announced the call on his X account.

During the discussion, the leaders reviewed the current situation in the region.

“I expressed my deep concern over rising tensions, the loss of civilian lives, and damage to civilian infrastructure. The safety and security of Indian citizens, along with the need for unhindered transit of goods and energy, remain top priorities for India.

I once again emphasized India’s commitment to peace and stability and called for dialogue and diplomacy,” Modi stated.
