White House official: Trump says Europe is 'killing itself'

U.S. President Donald Trump’s criticism of European countries at the World Economic Forum in Davos was based on the idea that the region is slowly “killing itself.”

Axar.az reports that this was stated by Steven Miller, Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and National Security at the White House, in an interview with Fox News.

“His criticism of Europe during his speech in Davos was one of the most important statements the American president has made regarding the continent. Europe is slowly killing itself because it is strangling its energy sector with regulations and relying on non-functional green energy and other countries.

Europe is also killing itself with its irresponsible migration policies. Europe has been killing itself for years because it has not invested in its armed forces and has relied on the U.S. to subsidize Europe’s defense,” he said.
