Lavrov, Araghchi discuss Middle East tensions

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a phone call with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi to discuss the Middle East situation following the U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran.

Axar.az reports that Lavrov condemned the strikes as violations of international law, emphasized de-escalation, refraining from force, and a diplomatic resolution, and confirmed Russia’s willingness to support these efforts.

The ministers also stressed the importance of protecting civilians and infrastructure in the region.
